I introduced a barbershop goby today and right away he paired up with my pistol shrimp. But I noticed that at feeding time my chalk occascionally will dive at my goby and make him go back in his cave.. What should I do?

I've read that chalk basslets sometimes get territorial with the goby types. That's the reason we never put one in our 20g, although very tempting.

he used to do great with my yellow watchmen before he jumped. But they were added together so maybe that's y. So will this tension pass between my barbershop and chalk?

Probably not.... Once they start, the usual finish is at least 1 dead fish.

Get that 150 cycling. There's not a lot of room to hide or establish territories in your little tank.

Did you ever think that maybe your watchman didn't jump... maybe he was pushed?! You could have a murderous basslet on your hands!

I really think it's normal for each fish to try and stake out a territory. When you have that many in such a tiny tank there's just not many territories to be staked out.

I'll be on the legal defense team for the Chalk Basslet ;)

I would make sure to spot feed the goby if you aren't already. That way he keeps his strength up to fight off any stress induced illnesses (eg. ich) until you upgrade or relocate one.

I loved my watchmen but idk if he did get pushed or jumped lol but yeh I target fed him yesterday. But it's weird it's not like he don't let him eat it's just every now and then he goes at him only at feeding time but he does eat I watch him come out and eat..and karin my 150 is already cycled just waiting for lights can't wait to get it up.
