Old sand I bought

Ok, about 3 months ago I bought a big bag of live sand to replenish some that was missing. I still have this bag, but I ddidn't seal it all the way just rolled it up. Is it bad if I had some of this in my tank? Or should I just purchase another bag?

Thats what I thought. So sand really does not go bad?

It doesn't "go bad" but it can spike your system unless it is rinsed really well.
