JT, I think it is a Flame BTA. It's got to be with those tips.

Check out this thread on Reef Central and reference post #3 he/she has a pic when it was small and then a pic when it got bigger right after it and it looks like yours only yours looks nicer.

i would be surprised if that is a long tentacle, they (lta) usually hang out on the sand. the structure of yours looks exactly like the big rbta i used to have, i have to agree with rob based on what i can see in the pic. do you have any pics of the foot?

FYI as an aside, our BTAs used to get pretty stringy sometimes. It seems like they bubble more when temp and pH are consistently in the desirable range. I especially noticed the BTA respond to improved pH after a kalk drip.

not necessarily, sometimes a clown host will mess with the tentacles and make them bubble up (wow that sounds bad) and sometimes increasing the flow or light will make them bubble more. the big on i had was about 14" when fully opened and one section of its tentacles were bubbly (the ones in the highest light and flow) while the rest was stringy.

There are mixed reviews about this. Some say water quality, some say light, some say there isn't a clear explanation as to why they may or may not be bubbled up or not.

Mine was happy....and it was not bubbled....what about Ace's? His was huge and it looked happy to me.

    Julian,
Not going to debate as it seems pointless but I wouldn't say it was a Flame without lineage. We have lineage on ours.

MrsBigBird123, is flame rbta from this thread? I remember falling in love with this anemone after Jennifer posted pictures of it.
