What should I test after livestock additions?

As many of you know my tank completed cycling and I'm planning the addition of a CUC and fish after Thanksgiving. I don't plan on adding corals until I'm sure the CUC and fish are doing well, Dec/Jan time frame.

In the mean time I'm ordering some things I'll need for the tank, replacement bulb, power head, and etc. One of the things I'm considering getting is additional test kits. Currently test for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ph, and Salinity (refractometer) . What else should I be testing for once I add the CUC and Fish?

calcium and mag are good and will help when you get coral, as for fish and cuc. how long has it been cycling, adding a fish or two will help the cycle and get bennificial bacteria going, if your initial cycle is done.

Yep inital cycle is done, what levels of Calcium and Mag should I have, or is that dependent on the types of corals?

from what i have read 400cal even a lil lower is fine, and mag 1300, these are all in a perfect tank, mine hover at near those numbers. just do your best to keep your tank stable is the key, trying to keep perfect numbers and swinging back and forth to keep it there is worse, just let your tank settle and keep a good routine of husbandry and other tank maintenence.
