Water resistant to 1 meter. No, you just have to make sure when you unplug the phone from the charger that you cover the port - not a big deal. It's small - 1/2 inch thick, BIG screen, and runs Android. And swype - wow, this app has completely changed texting. I've had it for less than a day and I'm about 3 times quicker than with my G1's slide out keyboard, and with one finger. Plus it has Motoblur - if I lose the phone, I can go online and disable it, then get a new one, and it restores my phone.

I looked at sitting on my desk, and thought - "I NEED to know this works". I mean, if it leaked it was brand new, and the T-Mobile guy was the one who put the sim card and back on it, then I wouldn't have any problem with a claim. Also, I hadn't invested a whole lot of time/effort yet into getting it set up with my apps. So, it was a good time to do it.

BTW, my wife FREAKED.
