uv sterilizer
i was thinking about ordering one, anyone have one? or had?
pros /cons?
are they worth it?

Kill too much benefical stuff. I ran them in the 90's and just like with diatom filters they are not selective on what they kill. Great for ponds and killing free floating algae

What size of tank do you have?

We have lots of tangs and use a UV. Some say they would not have a tank without a UV and some say never to use them. If you have an ich problem, give the UV a try.

i run about 60watts of uv i love tangs and since i added the uv i have not had issues with ick ( knock on wood)
