Default Watchman Goby lost it's color

Just like the title says. I had a watchman in a 60 gallon that snuck into the overflow and I didn't find him till almost 5 days later. After 3 weeks of regular feedings he still hasn't regained any of his yellow coloring. Do I now own a white watchman goby or will his color ever return?

I had one that lost his color due to stress from other fish, once the problem was resolved it took about a month to see any improvement in his color and almost another two months before he went back to his bright yellow.

Stress and also lack of lighting would be my guess. Some fish lose all their color at night.

I think it will come back. Amazing what light can do for animals....us included.
