Moved my 220 & 75 from Miami with no problem. Built a crate with 2x4 and ply-wood. Lined it with 2in foam board. Slid the tank into the box, and had the movers load it onto the 18-wheeler.

i had to put a strap around the back of the tank as the tailgait would not close, but the weight alone was probably enough to keep it from moving.

Thanks again. Think I'm gonna rent a long bed truck, use a few straps not too many, lay down some insulation and keep both hands on the wheel lol

Thanks everyone for you opinions I will keep every one posted as I make my trip to Houston sometime in Mid October

I don't know why I didn't offer my crate. You getting the 210 or 240? My crate will hold a 210/220. It is stored in my garage if you want to borrow. I still have most of the foam board. I can walk you through the easy/smart way to move a tank that massive. Believe it or not, with this crate, a furniture dolly, and a little muscle, it just takes two people. Or just one really smart one.

I drove a 120g with stand and other stuff back from Dallas to SA in a Small Chevy S-10. You will be fine.

What Ray ! In a S10 ! Wow..... yea I don't think I'm gonna have any worries on this trip now that is unless I decide to drop the tank or something.
J.T. (GsEclipse) has already offered Suction Cups and well so that shouldn't be an issue either.

Nail biting it was. We were hauling a 720 gallon aquarium in a single cab V6 RAM with a 5 X 8 uhaul trailer which wouldn't close since the tank was sticking out. My father in law was driving when we hit a patch of ice that caused the trailer to slide down off the freeway and take the truck with it after that we decided to call it a day, well that was after spending half an hour sliding up and down trying to get back onto the freeway. Oh such fun, poor little V6 had a tough time in the Colorado mountains.
