Default coral beauty and flame angel

I just added a flame angel to my 90 gallon and it has begun to fight with my coral beauty. Will this stop or should i remove one of the angels? Has anyone had any experience with both of these angels in same tank?

Almost every source will tell you not to mix angels but it can be done.

Its been done many times, but doesnt always work. One our members had a school of 5 flame angels which is out of the ordinary but it worked for him.

Before you remove either you can try to rearrange the rockwork. This may help break up their territory.

A larger tank always does help though, a 90g is only 4ft long which doesnt give a much get away room so make sure to have a lot of hiding spaces.

Yeah its kinda iffy but it also helps alot to introduce them at the same time.

Just about any fish can be territorial/aggressive, but it's well known and documented pygmy angels don't always mix well together. Even with only one, it is often recommended to introduce it as the last fish in your tank. Of course as mentioned earlier, some people don't have any problems. Definately try rearranging the rockscape and maybe even keep the lights off for awhile.

I had a flame angel in my Marshall Island tank, and it made my helfrichi firefish all starve to death because it was so mean.

When I introduce a new fish and aggression breaks out I turn the lights off for a whole day. Sometimes I will put a sheet over the tank to make it pitch black. After that they usually get along.

Thanks for the tips I think im going to try and put a sheet over the tank today with the lights out. Hopefully this will calm down the aggression in my tank. If not I guess back to the LFS :/
