I have a bunch of flake food that I stopped feeding my SW fish w/ because I was curbing phosphates. I have never been impressed with ingredients on FW flake foods and was wondering if they pose any threats? Anything I should worry about?

No threat to your freshwater fish. I have done this in the past. Actually feeding marine flake to my african cichlids brought out brighter colors when I had my African tank.

I've also fed marine flakes to my FW fish since I couldn't find FW with garlic. No issues here.
Alot of freshwater foods are junk, mostly wheat flour and other cheap ingredients. I feed sw flake to all my fw fish.
^^ I agree. I've never heard of amazonian fish feeding off wheat flour. I never liked the ingredients list and started thinking about all the healthy SW flake food I don't use. So far so good. I also feed IO's gel cyclops. Everyone seems happy.
