Anyone have a Gateway MA7 laptop
My laptop went out a while back wont be able to fix it but i have alot of pictures on this hardrive i would like to get off, the hardrive is fine. I was wondering if anyone has the same model laptop which i could use just to boot up my hardrive and get the pictures off, really appreciate it. Does anyone have any other suggestions, thanks.

I would take the hard drive out and take it with you to Altex. Ask them for a USB enclosure that will work with it. They should carry something that will work.
What do you mean it "went out"?
Does it beep on boot over and over? Does it sound like it's running, just no video?
If it repeatedly beeps, it's RAM.
If it sounds like it's running, I would hook up a monitor to it and to get video on it, you would hold down the Function Key "FN" while pressing the monitor swap key, which is on one of the F1-F12 buttons.
If it just doesn't turn on at all, remove the battery, plug it in and try it.

OH, and just popping your hard drive into another GW MA7 laptop may or may not work. Each install is specific to the hardware on that particular system, and most of them are not totally identical. It may function, just not fully. Good luck.
