Default For sale or trade (parents)

I have a 75yr old father and ?yr mother-in-law that are not reef of fish safe.

I came home today and the bottom of my extra tank was covered in fish flakes and shrimp pellets. Looks like they both had a competition to see who can over feed the tank. Problem is that the small tank is plummed in to the main 220 gal tank that does not do well with bad water quality.

Maybe they will do better with your tank, but I had to hide the food once I saw the mess. Being the good son I am, I thanked my dad for helping me feed the fish and told him I would go ahead and do it myself when it came to flakes and pellets. My Mother-in-law will probably spend an hour looking for the food before she gives up. I'll tell her about the feeding change later... ;-)

They mean well, but I've shown them over a dozen times how much food to put in to the tank. They can't be trained... I'll trade both of them (especially the mother-in-law) for fish that will clean the mess they made.

Just raffle them off when we do the tour this weekend. As long as you don't pull my name out that is.

A door prize, if you will.

If you don't find a good home for them I can loan you a 10g quarantine tank that they could use as FOWLR (Food Only with Liverock) set up

Haha! I don't know about the FREE door prize, the mother-in-law cleans! That's at least worth a bucket of salt! Just don't ask her where she puts anything or you'll get the standard answer "I didn't see it", knowing very well she did...

The 10 gal is not a bad idea either, but I'm sure the water will become toxic sooner or later and probably eat through the silicone.

Yea, there might be some built up agression... Not sure if anyone noticed. ;-)

BTW, I just cleaned both tanks Sunday...
