Thread: Common Prawn?

  1. #1

    Default Common Prawn?

Jpond83 caught some of these at the collection trip. I was there this past weekend and have at least 3-5 of them.

I have never seen any shrimp this active. These things are all over the place. Seem very peaceful though.

Anyone have experience good or bad with them? Love to hear.

The ones I have have more blue and bright orange in them and depending on the actinics the legs turn almost blue glo like blacklight color lol.

A quick google... "Palaemon serratus, also called the common prawn, is a species of shrimp found in the Atlantic Ocean from Denmark to Mauritania, and in the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea."

    Have pics of your critter?
