Oh man that looks amazing!! How long do you let it cure for and then do you soak it or rinse it first? Does the foam make it cycle longer or can you just add stuff with your previous water and LR?

Thanks, Jarob. I let it cure for 5-7 days before I let water touch it....but I have seen people only wait 48hours. It's inert so it does not soak in water or release any toxins. It does nothing for or against a cycle. I do rinse it, but not purposely...when I do a water test it gets rinsed. No need though because it's inert.

Picked up the stand today (THX Jack for helping me unload it) and completed the foam on the right side.

I could not be happier with the height of the stand. The bottom of the tank sits exactly 40" off the ground and there is a 2" lip around the bottom frame. I was a little bummed I didn't spend the extra money to go 48" but now that it's in the house...I'm glad I did not go any higher. I can reach into the tank without a step stool. It's perfect.

Note: The foam looks ugly on the side (looking at the foam on the glass), which I was afraid of.....but it looks really cool looking in from the side. So, got some trade off there.

It's all in the key describing words. Came out looking great Rob. As for the foam not looking good on the sides I really don't see the issue. It shows how everything goes together and you can then really see the process. Kind of like looking from the ground up.


On a side note - where did you get the acrylic frag plugs?
