Yeah, adding cardboard inside of the tubes was not a good idea. It was extremely difficult to remove the cardboard as the foam was setting. So, I just pulled all the cardboard out and added the tubes once the foam began to harden and then I foamed over the tubes lightly and just kept pushing the foam back as it would rise and cover the holes of the tubes.

Here's the finished background upright.
I still need to foam the sides and some more on the bottom,
Closeup of the ledge...
Closeup of tubes (they all have an open hole on both the top and bottom to prevent detritis build-up)

Something to note that he mentioned yesterday and I don't see in here:
This stuff starts to harden fairly quickly, so if you are doing a decent size tank, work in sections, and make sure you keep an eye on it as you continue, this stuff continued to rise for over an hour after initial application.

looks great.
do you feel a little better about the racks now? They look really good now with the foam background

Thanks Ismael.
Yes Karin, I'm much happier and once I cover up the corners on the racks I will be even happier. The foam will creep up the sides and take the outline of the racks.
Right on Jesse. Thanks, it was fun. Ismael even showed me how to use those stupid silicone guns...haha!
Looks great Rob! Glad a few people got to come by and get a few pointers from you. Wish I could have made it :(
