    Default Who should move first?

The first batch of corals has been double dipped and is resting in the Quarantine tank.
I am trying to come up with a plan on how to move the rest of the fishes gradually to the big tank.

According to Reefkeeping Magazine it's best to have the jawfishes I am after as the first inhabitants of an aquarium (article)
But I've heard from Blue Spotted keepers that they should go into older aquaria. Not sure if it the same with the kind I want - Yellowhead Jawfish

The Anthias aren't thrilled in the big tank. If I can catch them I could move them over and add a few more at the same time. Not sure how sensitive anthias are to new tanks?

The Ocellaris clowns would probably be very hardy but I am sort of leaning towards putting them in last since they always want to stake out their place right away and can intimidate newcomers.

The PJ Cardinals almost don't even count they're so quiet. lol
I just don't know if I can catch them all and of course I want all of them to move over at the same time.

The last thing left is the pair of Mandarins. I just seeded the new aquarium with Tisbe pods and I don't want them to wipe them out before they really grab hold. Plus it's easy enough to feed them in the small tank.

So what order would you place the fish introductions in?

Clowns and cardinals 1st would be my choice. Even if the clowns get their spot it is a big tank for others to find their spot. The anthias, mandarins, and jawfish are too sensitive for me to worry about so I would wait until the tank is adequate. Just my opinion

I agree^ Even your mandarins being trained to frozen should be fine. The only fish I would worry about would be the anthias being the most sensitive of the fish you listed + they have a pecking order. Which anthias do you have? Some can be fairly hardy as far as anthias go.

I'm not too familiar with the Bartlett's Anthias but anthias in general are fairly expensive compared to other cheap saltwater fish. For that reason alone I would add them last along with the mandarins. I agree with firewater as to add the clowns and cardinals in first. Then I would add the jawfish and then the anthias and mandarins. Best of luck to you!
