Default All Glass Silent Drain Mega Flow Kit

I am having trouble figuring out the mega flow drain kit.

I guess it would be silent if it wasn't for the gurgeling. I am guessing somewhere there is something that I didn't adjust right.
What happens is the tower sort of fills up. Then it drains down. Once it's below the hole part it tends to suck in air and expel it in the form of big bubbles into the sump where the drain ends up.
Since the bubbles come down with a big swoosh they spray up and over the sump endangering the pristine water damage free state of my new snazzy stand.

While I could like with the swooshing and gurgeling, the overspray from the bubbles makes me pretty unhappy.

What am I doing wrong. Obviously swooshing and gurgeling would be not considered quiet or silent so what do I need to adjust to fix this?

Is it a durso standpipe? If so, sounds like your not venting the right amount of air...try drilling the vent hole larger.

Ok, yes sounds like you need to vent more air. You can drill the top vent hole bigger( I had too ), but first make sure your drain line isn't under water(in sump)....for some reason durso style standpipes don't like that.

I have this exact system and mine is pretty silent. I just made sure the end of the drain pipe is out of the water in the sump so you dont get that bubbly sound. I am also using flex hose wich seems to make it a little quieter.
