I been having a battle with brown hair algae and it finally seems that I'm winning the fight. So I was wondering what fish would help in eating all this excess brown hair algae off of my live rock and side of my tank?

i had a yellow tang that would lick the algae off the glas-s. My foxface did it sometimes but not as much as the yellow tang.

Have you checked your water parameters? Is the tank fully cylcled? Maybe you could nip the problem before adding a fish? Do you use tap water or RO?DI?
Ya my tank has been cycled. Been running for 5-6 months. Nitrates low same with phosphates, use RO water. I also have refugium.
I think its just in a stage until it becomes fully mature and I have only 1 snail as clean up crew and couple hermits in 90 Gallon. I do have good pink and purple Coraline algae growth even though I have quite a bit of hair algae right now.
Im prolly going to buy a sea hare this week since I hear they devour that stuff.

Some choices; Bristle Tooth Tang, Phosban Reactor, or try adding Xenia and GSP. (Just beware both corals could take over your tank)
