Ok car guys what do you think of:
    1. the new entry level 400+ hp cars?
    2. what they will do to the corvette and even import market?
    3. which would you personally get?

I will wait and answer later as to not give away all the answers. lol

Neither. While I like the new Camaro's looks, both are still just so-so cars.

If Chevy would bother to do something about the cheap interior on the Corvette, they would probably double their sales. By far, the best "regular" car made by the big 3.

But those that know me know I'm a 3-pointed star guy.

With the new 2011 Mustang capable of mid 12's out the gate, I think that's great. You can get it for 40k and have a great performer. I don't think the corvette market will be effective, they have such a huge following for the heritage. Camaro, eh, I think the interior would be a little better and make the body more functional. I think Camaro hit the nail on the head regarding the retro styling, but I HATE the rear quarter "vents" molded in the body.

I would not buy any of them. If you are looking for a retro style why not buy the real thing.

67-69 Cameros are true muscle cars. Im a bit biast when it comes to modern cars trying to be like the original.

(if I had to choose out of the new Mustangs, Camero or corvette; I would go with the camero)

Most of the new cars are pretty nice, Not sure how the new SS feels. Haven't drove one...But I do own a gxp..Same thing as a SS. GM always tunes there cars way..way too rich, even with that they are capable of high 12's. All the trim lighting in the SS kinda freaks me out, my brothers has a orange trim/lighting pakage. It is different...

    A laymen's point of view...

I am personnally extremely happy with the retro look that mustang, camaro and others are coming out with. The styles of the '80s and '90s must go the way of the mullet and keep to the trailer parks (I can say this because I had a mullet and lived in a trailer park so I'm not bashing). Those cars where everything was designed around a stretched out bubble for aero dynamics made me sick, especially after the.. what was it the cougar? no the thunderbird in late '80, early '90. To me all of those cars began to look alike.

My wife, god I love her, wants to replace her expedition with the camaro but we've not sat in one. I've heard others complain of the interior. I like the look and simplicity of the, what is it, the charger? Looks nice and lean, and with the flared back end implies some strength.

The 'vettes are for little people so I've absolutely no use for them. But I hear that I may be able to cram my body into a C5 >sniff< I'd have to verify that in person. But I'm not crazy with any of the new models of corevette. My first and lasting impression of a true vette was/is the stingray, what was that? '69? '68? But still far too small for a man, better suited for the ladies.

Jack, that was just serendipity. I had no idea you owned a vette. But that's cool.

    Mustang - Looks nice except I am 6-3+ and I don't fit
Camaro - Looks nice, runs fast, I don't like the heavy long doors, I have no idea what the back seat is for because when I ride in my co-workers there is no room behind me.
Corvette - Looks nice, runs fast, a little narrow to get into being 250 lbs, but once I am in the only car I can strech my legs out in. If only I could get my kids out of college.
I am jealious Jack I only had 1 vette and that was before wife and kids
