Default How Do You Like Your RKL?

I am thinking of purchasing a Reef Keeper lite let me know what RKL users think about it?
wanting to use it to control my newly purchased GEO KR618 Kalk Reactor
Will I need a PH probe for that or not? Or what would be the best way to fully utilize the full potential of this controller?

Please feel free to give your opinion. Thanks Rob

I like mine, for the money the RKL is a nice controller. Not very expandable, and alittle limited on options...but over all for the money I like it. For the reactor/ float switch you will need a SL1/SL2 module for the float switch/pH probe. The biggest down side to the RKL versus the RKE is that the lite can only have 4 modules/power bars.

So this would be the better choice?

Yes, depending on how much you wanna control. There are alot of features the RKE has the RKL doesn't. The elite has 2 standby modes(versus 1), 4 channel wave maker(over 2 channel), up to 4 timers per channel, 250 modules...versus 4. I'm glad I have the RKL, but will upgrade to the elite.

The $99 package is great for controlling lights and fans. (that is what I have it for) Since you are limited to only 4 plugs if you are wanting to control more you will want to go up to the $279 package or the elite. I think if you trade up they give you a $125 credit towards the elite? Which I only paid $99 for the RKL with one module and 1 temp probe

I love my RKL. Once you get use to the programming (at least for me) then you are golden. Here is what DA says about the upgrade from the RKL to the RKE.
    http://www.store.digitalaquatics.com...hp?pid152.html

This upgrade is only $149.99 after trading in your old RKL head unit!

Select this RKE head unit if you wish to upgrade your RKL system to an RKE. This upgrade will allow you to expand the number of modules beyond the limit of 4 with the RKL to 63. It will also offer you the expanded functionality and flexibility of the RKE while allowing you to retain your initial investment!

Don't forget to ask about the $50 trade in credit on your RKL head unit! Contact support@digitalaquatics.com for more details.
    Price: $199.99
    Thanks
