    Default Headin' for the coast....

Tomorrow once I get off work I will be heading to Corpus with the Family in tow. Staying at the Omni Marina and just planning to play on the beach and visit the aquarium. Went ahead and bought the season pass for the aquarium and will make our first visit Tuesday morning. My 2 year old and 1 year old will love it I'm sure. We're looking forward to this mini family vacation. We'll be staying through Thursday morning....

just got back yesterday. if you want coastal pipefish or dwarf green seahorses, you can find them right now. we caught some of each in the grassbeds under the intracoastal bridge (near snoopy's). we kept some of the pipefish, but let the seahorses go - they were less than an inch tall and one of them was very gravid.

Man...aquarium was a bust. Kind of disappointing(from a general spectator).....Both kiddos LOVED it though which made us happy. We arrived right at opening(9am) and caught the 10am dolphin training session where we observed it underground due to drizzle. Shortly after that show ended, power went out(although I think it was only facility related as some indoor lights worked but all the exhibit(in tank) lighting and such was out. So the walk through was kind of slow. Did not come on for the duration of our stay. Sons loved the dolphins, rays, and otters. Poor workers were stuck to pencil math and calculators due to the registers not functioning so the admission and gift shop lines were backing up. My oldest son got to touch and alligator, he loved that too.

Back at the hotel, both kids and wife napping. I bought a surprise back/neck/shoulder massage along with a "heavenly foot" massage scheduled for 4pm so my friend and I are taking the kids to the pool(yes, I'm actually talking about the kids, lol). Tomorrow will be at the beach. Looking for a place to rent jet skis today though....

got home from the coast today....Kids and wife had a blast. Wife is still in love with the massage she got, hopefully just the massage and not the giver, lol....Friend and I rented some jetskis for two hours and forgot to apply some sunscreen...Fortunately mine was just the arms and shins since I wore a sleeveless shirt under the lifeDSC_0119.jpg jacket....He went shirtless, lol....got a funny tan line from the vest. Kids enjoyed the beach. I walked on wateDSC_0099.jpgr a couple times. First, a crab pinched me, which I thought for sure was a stingray....Then, a decent sized fish, DSC_0092.jpgjust after talking about shark week, lol....new shorts and showed God the true technique of treading water, lol....DSC_0116.jpg
