    Default Controllers

Ok so a year ago or so I thought a controller was a really unneeded peice of equipment that was more luxury than anything else. I have now come to the conclusion that my first thought holds true but I really really want one However I dont know which ones are better than others and yes I know it depends on what I want out of it. So here is my list of wants.

    Wavemaker for 2 pumps
feed time for all 4 pumps (I have 2 returns)
control and be able to dim lights (2 plugs)
so 6 plugs altogether however I could fill 1 for a heater, and 1 for my skimmer so 8 outlets
Be able to unhook and move easily as I will be moving my whole system over to my BC29 when I go to school, LEDs, pumps etc, and then back to my all in one that I made when the semester ends.

Thats really all that I want out of a controller, the test probes would be nice but NOT needed. I mean it would just make me freak out worse than when I see my temp raises by .2 degrees on my digital thermometer

Ooo and it would be nice if it didnt break the bank so I can get it before the end of summer, so if anyone is sellin or planning on it lmk

Reef keeper series are nice for the money. I love mine, I do plan to upgrade from the RKL to the RKE just to be able to do almost anything I want.

the price difference between the rke and the rkl is so huge! I've been thinking about getting the rkl plus (8 outlets and two probes - i happen to love the constant monitoring)

Ya it is a huge price difference which makes me wonder why? Lol and I love the contstant monitoring too however it's not needed. I woulda loved to pick up the ac2 that was being sold on here like 2 days ago.

    of course it's needed!
I think you can get some good clues from changes in the diurnal pH swing.

There are many extra features to the RKE versus the RKL. The elite can handle 250 modules versus 4, 4 channel waver maker versus 2 channel, can mix 4 timers to one channel, 2 standby modes versus 1 and more. This is all I remember of the top of my head. Most people would do fine with just the RKL, but I like the RKE because you could use it on every tank in the house.

They seem to be the best for the money from my research. The aqua controllers seem to nice aswell, I also really like the GHL controllers but they get expensive quick.
