    Default My Art....

This was the last one I created:

It's untitled and mixed media. 36"x48"

I'm currently working on a series of Jellyfish paintings but over the last year I have not had much time to paint. Now that my responsibilities on MAAST have lessoned I plan to start painting heavily again.

This past weekend I started doing something that I have been planning to do for years....(like 5+ years) framing all of my paintings. So I bought a nice frame and knocked one out. I'll have to post some pics soon.

Man, I really love the jellyfish painting you did.

What kind of frames are you using?

The one I picked up this weekend is a black coated wood frame (I think). Picked it up from hobby lobby. It was about $60. Looks really clean and sharp. I figure I'll start framing one painting every couple of weeks or at least one per month.

Love the art Rob. The colors are great. Image is simple, not to much going on.

Dude, you need a chop saw and a table router, then you can make your own frames.

Thanks, Ray! I'm big on composition and simplicity....oh and colors ; )

Allan....I have have stretched my canvas on frames that I built in the past and it was more work than I had anticipated because of the limited tools and "skills".

Jack...thanks for the offer, I might have to take you up on that and see what my possibilities are with custom frame work.

I am free as well Rob. I can bring some stuff over to your and Jack's side of town and set up shop. I have the small nailer and a nice compound miter saw in the garage that I need to knock the dust off of.

Very nice work by the way. Alexis loves it and can appreciate the work and enjoyment you put into the art.
