    Default CREE led suplement

hi all, just finish a led bar mount in my DIY hood light. every thing work out good but still need 1 more to blue up my 2-250w w/ ushio 14k which i 've known, just wanna try it out fisrt.
2 strips each has 6 CREE XR-E leds on one bar, power by 24v @ 700mA...total cost is $165 from ledsuply.com. the next one i'll use 1000mA drivers.
they really blue up my tank good...i like a new look of my tank now

Looks good, You will love the led's. Just remember the led's dont do good with saltwater hitting them, and the xre series @1amp are alittle brighter but build alot more heat. Good emitters for running 1-1.5 amps are the xpg series.

For blue they are not xpg's the they are xpe's, not the same lumens output. They have alittle more output then the xre's but with less foward voltage and heat. Watch the temps, the you can read 145 on the bar the back of the emitter is probally close to 200. Don't forget to post some pics when you get the light on your tank.
