Hope this is the appropriate thread.

Joined a few weeks ago and have been lurking on the site since. Was just about ready to say Hi to all when I run across this thread.

I certainly have no clue as to the past, or present, issues of this club. Nor would I particularly care.



However, as a fellow reef enthusiast, it is obvious politics here are beyond comprehension.


At this point I have no interest in this club but decided to post since I have significant issues with the following statement.

I'm talking about the club and you are talking about individuals.

Is it not EACH individual that makes this a club?


I would suggest that all involved take a good look at who they are, who they think they are and how they portray themselves.


That’s just from an outsider looking in.

Let me first start off by saying Welcome to MAAST..

I will not go into details about years past, but I will talk about the present time.

The goal of our current President, Vice President (myself) & the Board of Directors is to inform, educate and reward our members with all the knowledge & help they can get to maintain a successful reef setup. Maast is made up of many individuals each having their own voice some stronger than others but that is what to be expected. We are very excited that Maast is continuing to grow with new members at a very rapid rate.

It is not everyday that we see drama like this unfold. Maybe once a month lol but not everyday. Politics are everywhere and as we all know it is not a game and certainly not something everyone can agree on and or talk about.

I will not speak for Mr. Cob but I do know that as a Board Member his heart is in this 100% and meant nothing negative towards anyone about the situation but he was mearly standing up for what he loves the most. This hobby & This site. Every club has its ups and downs, this just happened to be one of ours.

We appreciate your concern and straight forward opinion. However, it is at this time and in the best interest for all that this thread be closed as it will cause continued havoc and create further negativity than desired by all.

I hope that you can over look our growing pains and you will continue to browse around our site and see what we and our members can give back to you in return.
