Thumbs up Our reef room..... AKA Nursery

    I just wanted to share…….

Well we finally finished our nursery for our boy who will be here in about 4 and a half weeks, May 23rd. At first we (my wife) wasn’t sure what we were going to do for our theme. I put it out to my wife we should do a reef/ocean theme and she finally took to it. The furniture we got from her mom, she has a 3 year old brother who never slept in the crib so it's all used, brand new. The only problem was her mom didn't buy the dresser that came with the set so the color is off just a bit. My wife doesn’t care for it but it saves me $1K in buying it all, so I will take it!! Haha.
We got the stickers for the wall from a company in Australia, these are the kind that you can pull off the wall and put back on wherever you want. So when the time comes, we can take them off without having to remove all the stickiness from normal stickers. The name was my wife’s idea. She had the frame with a picture in it, well the frame didn't go with anything in any of the other rooms and the picture surely didn't go with the baby's room. So we threw out the picture and just used the frame. We bought white letters from Hobby Lobby and painted them the colors that matched the nursery bedding. We painted the square on the wall to match the frame size and hung it all together. This is a brand new house and we (I) didn't feel like painting the whole wall, or painting it back when we sell this house in 2 years. The shelving came from Michaels Crafts and we painted them to match the other colors as well. All this is really just for us and to show it off to everyone else. It’s not like he will remember that we didn’t paint his whole nursery and be mad at us for it hahaha.

The Great Ayden's Reef, that is definitely the ultimate reef build ;)...

where else can you see crabs, octopi, and starfish in co-habitation all with a smile on their faces? Where else can you see a shark with a grin....congratulations on your future addition to the family.

    Thank you everyone.

We plan on at least one more unless we have another boy then we will have three as we will try one more time for a girl. This is our first little one ever, so we have a lot to learn. And knowing my wife she will want to get all new stuff for each little one.
