    Default Equipment for humidity...

This winter I started to notice condesation on my window sills and the window glass itself. I was wondering what people did to help with this especially on your bigger tanks.

Only have a 125g and no MHs so no condensation problem but I'd guess a small dehumidifier would take care of it.

Yeah ours got really bad but I also think that the sump fan had to do with it as I was evaporating quite a bit a day. I go through 25 gallons a week with this tank. Would a chiller help as I could take the fan down I suppose? I also have to add I have a 45 gallon qt going also.

I use a dehumidifier when the a/c isn't being used. No problems with condensation.

Your A/C is a dehumidifier if you had or are thinking of upgrading your A/C I would strongly recommend a variable speed blower motor and a humidity controlled thermostat, or ask you A/C guy or Company about a humidistat for your current system.

The chiller won't do much for humidity in the room. As said, a variable speed fan w/the humidistat works well. A small window unit in the room or a dedicated dehumidifier will do a lot to help also.

I will definately check out a demudifier. I am renting one more year( at least if everything goes as planned) so I will not be upgrading the ac but when we buy I will look into that for sure. Thanks for the info guys.
