I went out and bought a cleaner wrasse and I have three cleaner shrimp. It looks very similar to black ich, and in fact may be. The wrasse is in and the fish are lining up. I am hoping this will be the fix for now. For those reading this for the first time, Black Ich is not the same as normal ich. It's a worm which lives in your substrate. The most efficient way to rid your tank of them is with a cleaner wrasse since it will also eat the buggers from the substrate as well as off the fish. Other wrasses eat these, but not off the fish, at least that's been my experience. I am worried because the Hippo has it. The Hippo (Freckles) is eating like normal, not hiding, and so far looks good, although she held very still just on the other side of the glass for me to observe her.
