Battle with Backyard Weeds

**** I feel old. I'm 29, but herniated(sp?) a disk in my back last Aug/Sept...Since then, the smallest thing sets it off, sucks...Mom came by and wanted to help. Said it's nice to test it on my lawn in case we screw up, lol.....Only thing that sucks more is my stupid self doing this to re-aggravate it, lol:

my youngest(1 year old) loved following behind me while the oldest(2 year old) enjoyed throwing dirt on the carrier and riding the old grass to the side of the house where I'll be sifting out the dirt and such to throw the old grass in the trash.

Anyone have an idea on how to dispose of a bunch of rock? Next I will be doing the stone like surrounds on the trees in my front yard and the previous homeowner used extra bricks in a cheap@** look to surround the tree with only one layer, then piled a few white rocks about the size of basballs around it. Not completely piled, but just for a look it seems like. It's a bigger mesquite tree. I'm tempted to even cut it down due to the thorns. You can see it in my pic where my youngest son is walking behind me.
