Default ALL fishes are 50/50 reefsafe

Just post here if you having/had a reefsafe fish/fishes that turns to non reefsafe.

    I'll go first..

1.Used to have a blue hippo that one day started to take the liking in nipping at Brain coral.
    2. Also had a common cleaner wrasse that cleans every fishes but like to attacks (not cleaning) Longhorn Cowfish (got a warning from another member, but did not beleive it til it happens).
Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...

    great thread giau!

    my turncoats -

i had a purple tang that took a liking to zoas

i had a large foxface rabbit that learned from the purple tang that zoas are good food.

i had a scribble rabbit that was fine for a long time, then when he got to be about 5" long, he also started eating zoas. he was a baby in the tank when the other two did it, so i dont know if it was learned from them or not.

i had a copperband that cleaned out a whole colony of acans and half a chalice in one weekend when we were out of town

i had another copperband that ate a couple of baby scolys - again when we were out of town for the weekend. i had no idea what happened until a few days later i saw him attack a third and litterally break pieces of its skeleton. i was amazed at how strong he was given the shape and structure of his mouth.

    Love the thread...

Med Coral Beauty - This fish is actually a 50/50 chance from the get go...mine was behaved for about a year then one day started nipping my clams

Med Purple Tang - Went rogues after two years of peace and started eating my acans...ALL of them...they all stayed closed until I removed the tang. Had to tear down my entire half circle to get him out.

Lrg Cleaner Wrasse - Well behaved for 6 months...just normal obsessive cleaning of the fish and then one day decided to start nipping my clams...especially my small clam. Caged the clams up for several weeks, got rid of the little ones and released the large crocea to a different area of the tank. Wrasse is behaving for now.

Lrg False Percula - Not owner safe. Would bite down on my skin and try and rip it off...not cool, had to rehome... to an aggressive tank.

Urchin from Port A - Mowed through my encrusting SPS...moved to the sump as part of the cleanup crew and petting zoo.

Hermits - Eat all my snails and move frags...I don't use hermits anymore...only snails.

Coral Beauty- nipped at a clam, Big Surprise ;)

Large False Perc- Nipped at me and knocked over any new corals put in the tank. The most territorial fish ive ever owned.

Flametail Blenny- Loves clams and soft LPS(brains, acans, etc.) He was good for about 4 months then decided to eat away.
When I move I plan on taking him out then and sell/trading him in.
