    Default Concrete Treatment

Im my front room it will house my 180g FOWLR and a bar for friends and us to hang out.

Ive been wanting to rip up the carpet for a while. I really dont like the idea of saltwater or alcoholic drink spills on the carpet.

Ive been thinking a concrete stain and seal would look good. Anyone done this in their home? Any thoughts or help would be great. I want something that will look good but not cost a arm and a leg. Id much rather this than tile but if need be I will go that route.

Need to do this soon so I can this tank going!

    Thanks!

Friends of ours did their whole house like that and it looks nice. It was a new house and they even had the concrete grooved sorta to look like big tile.
Initially they were all excited about it but they've lived in there for some time now and from what I hear it requires maintainance like waxing or something similar.
Sounds like tile will be more efforts in the beginning but lower maintenance in the long run.

I had stained concrete floors in my last house, it looked great, designs are endless. You can DIY, if you're not happy with it, you can do tile over it. I'd rather do that, then not be happy with the tile(more expensive) and have to rip it up.
