I put two koralia evo 1400's in my 57g, and it seems to be about perfect.(in my opinion)

It all depends on what coral etc. Also placement is key. In my 20 i have a k1 a k nano, and 2 returns that do 200 ish each, i think my flow is kinda week at times

I had two k4s in my 65 gallon I liked the flow that created for my miced reef but like was said above it really comes down to what corals you are keeping, dead zones created with live rock, fish stocked, etc.

2 returns and A k2 at the top pushing against the front glass, rolling down, causing everything in the tank to move just the 'slightest' bit.
Just enough to make everything look and feel alive.
depending on the corals, to much flow, things may move out of the way.
to little flow and things get stagnant(yuck)
