    tasted a new beer
    Youngs Double Chocolate Stout
really think your wives would enjoy this one. and you also!
here is my review at a beer website.

Apperance. i didnt look to see how it looks. its in a bottle. im more concerned with everything else.

Smell. smell is mild with clean aromas and hint of chocolate.

Taste. wonderful. i really enjoyed this beer. i was expecting a rich complex roasted flavor with a hint of chocolate bar sweetness but instead i got a less complex malt flavor body with a dark roasted cocoa bean flavor finish. it could have had some more flavor build in the beer but im not going to complain beyond that.

Feel. i cant remember.... i liked the taste sooo good that i really cant remember. i know it was good.

Drinkability. i found myself slamming this thing down. i could have easily has several more. and at 5+ abv, i would have only needed one or two more

    great beer!

found another beer, seemingly new to San Antonio markets.
    Kulmbacher Eisbock

"Eisbock is a traditional Kulmbach specialty beer that is made by freeze distilling a doppelbock and removing the ice to concentrate the flavor and alcohol content. Alcohol content ranges from 9% to 40% by volume. It is deep copper to dark brown in color, often with ruby highlights. Head retention is frequently impaired by the higher alcohol content. It has a rich, sweet malty flavor, balanced by a significant alcohol presence. It has a clean, lager character with no hop flavor"

    citation, wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bock#Eisbock

i just thought it was great! its a dopplebock concentrate!
how can i pray for you?

all right everyone. i was just playing around. i pm'ed bstreep to let him know two days ago. Specs at 1604 and 35 north (on the west side of 35 at the forum shopping center) and he went out and got some! great stuff.
i tried out a Belgian special ale called "Pauwel Kwak" 1791. good stuff, i really like it. not nearly as sweet as i thought Belgian ales were (really my first Belgian) its expensive though. not really something i would regularly get ($12 pint)
