She's a sweet heart... If she can, she'll be touching you. Nosing you, leaning on you, sitting on you, whatever. When left alone, she cries. Not howl or bark, but cries. It's heartbreaking. She's sleeping in the center of my bed now. I hate to move her, so I'll probably curl up in the corner like the pathetic sap I am.

I really want to find her true home. Clearly, she has been loved as a house pet. But I am realistic. And I have until Monday. If she can't find her original home, I intend to find her a good one.

Aggiereefer, let your family know there is a lost and confused little girl that desperately needs some security.

I sure hope this story has a happy ending!

We do a LOT of animal rescuing, reuniting, and fostering as well. Not as much since we began to take in strays on a much bigger, human level (fostered two teenage girls for the past six years) but still try to save those we can, so I have great respect and understanding for what you are doing here.

Wish we could take her... we lost our 12+ year old female golden retriever / chow mix (a rescued stray) in December and we are all still having a tough time at our house, but especially hate to see how it has effected our male dog, who lost his companion of the last 12 years. But we can't take her right now, with me traveling for the next two months.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Don't forget to have your vet scan for microchips!
We're up to 4 dogs ourselves so not able to provide a permanent home.
If any other foster care falls through and Kristy wants her (and will take her in 2 months) I could talk to my husband about keeping her for a few weeks until Kristy returns.

Very cool of you Tebstan... that looks just like the dog a lady lost here in Austin named "JOSIE".
wish it were, she's been pounding the streets for 3 weeks, signs everywhere.
I've run into her twice, and she's heartbroken......Like I would be if I lost my "LUNA"......

No way that Josie made it down to SA without getting picked up though.

As Karin said, make sure to check to see if she has a microchip. Any vet can check that for you.

    We found her home!

I'm so relieved. It was really stressing me out. She was crying incessantly and the cats were freaked out. They won't forgive me easily.

We got her rabies shot, a collar, and a store credit to have a name tag made. It was hard to break the news about the little boy not making it, but at least she found her way home.

A flyer that was put up at the school on Kittyhawk.

We got really lucky, very few businesses allow flyers in the window anymore. I slapped them all over the places where people couldn't say no, like Red Box and car washes. The dollar stores that said I could put it up, ripped down shortly after I left.

I'm so glad! And, at least they know what happened to their other one. That in itself is a blessing.
