cleaner wrasse

or better yet, who doesn't have them and why not?

thanks to firewater i now have a cleaner wrasse and i love that little guy. he is all over the tank day and night. he seems to have made the whole tank and all its inhabitants happier!!!! i don't know why but everything is out in the open more.
the tang and angel are bonding with the cleaner and when the cleaning is going on the recipient is in full FLASH. the fins are extended and the colors are vibrant. he cleans the rock, glass, frag rack, snails, fish, and even seen him clean the cleaner shrimp. he is so active and personable, i just cant say enough about it!!

Learned something new the other day about the cleaner wrasse. Apparently, when the fish flash different colors while they are being cleaned, it is so that there is more contrast on their bodies to make the parasites more visible.

Very cool!!! I LOVE mine, he keeps my fish so happy and clean, but he will be a pest every now and then.

I love my cleaner wrasse....like Jarob's, mine can bug the other fish from time to time...nothing big though. Definitely a must have for any reef tank...especially as a conversation piece for "non reefers".
