I went to Clems Marina last night and even though I didn't catch any there were 4 or 5 large black drum caught. They were also catching specs under the lights. Being the weekend I am sure it will be packed.

The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears, or the sea.
Have fun Justin. My brother (who lives in a loft downtown) uses my garage as his storage facility....

Well, this turned out to be a very interesting trip. I left my house at 2:30 AM and spent most of the day in Rockport, becoming one with the lobsters (.....I'm sunburned). I spent a few hours wade fishing with the leaping mullets. Around noon I hit the causeway pier. A few hours later I got a nibble, lost the bait. I re-baited, cast, and forgot about my pole for 20 minutes or so.
When I reeled in I found TWO 7-8" hard heads on my 3 hook leaderI was thrilled with my luck. Though, drum or sheep head would have been better luck, I was not picky and recast immediately. Just as quick as I cast, three dolphins laid claim to my area and ate those unsuspecting drums. It was fun watching the dolphins launch out of the water and work as a team. Then, the dumb boaters scared them away.
Next, I moved to Aransas Pass. Along the way to the ferry I pulled over to try shallower water. I ended up not fishing because I was to captivated by these:
And for size comparison:

I would have much rather to have seen them in the water. They had gotten themselves beached during the last tide
At least a hundred of them perfectly lined up along the beach. After walking up and down studying each one, I took the ferry to Port A. It was dead/ deserted and I was dumbfounded...... until I saw their beach. The seaweed had turned the water a reddish black color and was also washing up the above jellyfish. There was also small ,palm sized, brown jellyfish too. I chose to come home after that. Hope you liked the up close pics, however sad it is that such graceful, interesting animals had to die in such a way.

The pictures are Aransas Pass on the way to the ferry. It was getting dark when I got to Port A so I didn't bother with photos. But it look the same, just a little more sparse.
