So my 240g is up and running and I am already running into walls I have previously managed to avoid.

this is likely a continuation of the natural cycle your tank will go thru during the first 6 months to a year of existence. keep up with your normal maintenance and keep a good clean up crew and it should go away on its own.

Or it could be the fact that it is a relatively new tank

New Lights I just have 36 t5HO's for the moment for the first part of the cycle. I will be using full power after the first 6wks. Rodi is brand new also. I'm with you Maelv I'm just going to ride it out for a while and get a cleaning crew in order.

Actually that was Ace's (Hobogato) diagnosis...listening to me, you would be on your way for a new RODI and set of lights...LOL.... ;)
