Default odd foods you feed your fish ???

well i was wondering if any one has ever used other stuff beside your fish food that you get at your LFS

i know some people use Romain lettuce for there tangs

    any thing else???

why I'm asking is because one time i had friend over to help build a shed and he brought his lunch but while eating and looking at the fish tank he threw a piece of bologna in the tank and fish loved it ...

i was wondering if any one has ever tried other meats that are high in protein ?

    odd ? yes i know

I tried flying fish eggs (eggs from flying fish -the eggs themselves don't fly ;) ) from teh Asian Market but then I chickened out about the soy sauce after awhile and started eating them myself while watching the fish...
The skimmer always went nuts over the flying fish eggs drenched in soy sauce too.

I used Mac and chesse to catch a Sgt Major one time to remove him from the tank. worked well and the clowns liked it too.

I don't think I'd be amused if my friend threw his bologna in our tank.

I've fed the fish eggs meant for sushi that are also flavored (it was from some kind of sturgeon fish, not a flying fish, but I think we are talking about the same sort of thing, Karin) both by rinsing them and by just putting a few in there. No problems and the fish JUST LOVE them!

I do what Marco does... in additions sometimes I feed a little "Allan Arm" to my cowfish when he sneaks up on me.
