    Default MH Bulbs

Ok I am thinking about getting a new bulb for my 250w fixture. I was thinking of either a 14k Phoenix or a 12k Reflux. Which one is better? I will be supplementing it with actinics.
    Thanks

Hmm, Better for par (look up Sanjay's website) or better for color (matter of opinion)?
I tried the Phoenix and loved it, until it crapped out too soon for me (1 yr). The color did begin to fade into a washed out look in the last months of its life. I would probably try it again. Plus w/ icecap ballast it had the best par of any 14k or higher bulbs, according to Sanjay. I wanted to try Geisseman's 13K Coral but it's way out of my price range.

Very happy with our 12k Reeflux, but then that is just based on my happy feeling looking at the color in the tank, and not on Sanjay's research or dipan's PAR measuring device.

I liked the reeflux 12ks as well, it will not be as blue as the phoenix.
