Tortoises and Lizards
As you know I am all about feeding things. ;)
I am having a real challenge with my tortoises and Bearded Dragon though.
I figured lots of people on here have several pets -some might have experience with dragons and tortoises.
I'd really like to be able to supplement their food with manufactured foods but neither of them will have anything to do with it!
The lizard is probably the worst because she doesn't want veggies anymore either. All she''ll eat is superworms. The best I can do is feed the veggies to the superworms and then give the worms to her. Dragon chow? Forget it!
The tortoises are Mediterraneans - 4 year old marginateds - (didn't want to get tropicals for fear of having to supply even more superworms!) so of course they eat only veggies and weeds. I even keep a herb and weed garden for them in the summer.
It would be so nice if they would eat some prepared foods. I even tried the expensive stuff (Mazuri) and they never liked it.
(and yes I know - I missed hibernation. Will try again next year... ;) )

Holy cow! The torts are eating mazuri! I made it wet. Maybe that was the trick. Now I just need to remember to take out the uneaten pellets before they go sour...
what to do with that stubborn lizard though... I even tried canned food with her!
