New Camera

Well Uncle Sam was good to me this year, so I took the plunge and got a new digital camera. I bought a Canon EOS XSI (silver) with a Tamron 28-80mm lens. I looked at the other packages out there, but for tank work and general photography the the 18-55mm in my book doesn't quite cut it. I am a Canon EOS fan, my first EOS was a 35mm EOS 650. Which works since all my old lenes will work with the new body. So hopefully soon after learning more about this thing I can have some pics up of my tank.

Well last couple of days I have been messing with my new Canon EOS Rebel XSI. Here are some pics of the tank, it's a 110 gallon tall. Some before and after pics. I am in the process of replacing parts in my Odyessa combo light unit. So far I have replaced both ballasts (coral Vue) and upgraded the MH bulbs to Phoenix 14K's. Next on my list to do are the power compacts. Either upgrade them (SPS Bulbs) or convert them to T-5's. The last pic is for Ace, it's Flipper. As I get to know the feaures more on this camera, I will post some more.
