If you are worried, Screens or raising the fixture is the best method. Contrary to popular belief, Shortening the daylight hrs won't prevent burning. It's the intensity, not duration, that is burning your coral.
That's the politically correct answer.
Personally, I switched from an old 14K to 10k without making adjustments and my frogspawn was the only coral to get a few spots.... or maybe it was my eyes that had the spots![]()
