Angry Do Asternias eat star polyps?

I have soo many asternias!! My zoas are suffering and slowly disappearing. Now, I noticed some stars on my star polyps, and they are not opening up as usual. I need a harlequin asap.
    Any experience with this?

With a turkey baster i blow away the starfish from my coral everyday when i get home from work. But thats not a solution to your problem.
I recently put 2 harlequins in my tank 10 days ago

1 harlequin in my 140-gal made short work of my asterina problem in about 2 wks. They were stripping the coralline off of my live rock, but they werent bothering my zoas or gsps.

I noticed the other day that my rock is getting white, probably due to the astreas. No issues with the zoas.

Don't the serve a positive purpose if they're not fooling with the coral.

Would the harliquin chew through the tiny brittle star fish?

I've had 2 Harlequin shrimp in my tank for almost 2 months. I still have a bunch of stars.

Well, he's in my tank. Cute little fella. Let's see if there is a change in a couple of weeks/months...
