Mangrove tree and Lighting K Help

JT what kind of mangroves do you have? They don't like like the red mangroves people usually keep in their refugiums for nitrate export.

Yeah, my mangroves were just long stems w/hardly any roots and 2 had none! I just sunk them under the water and they have managed to sprout leaves out of the water and are now growing quickly! I never clean the leaves off and started out with 5 totally submerged plants and have 5 growing plants that now are reaching out of the sump. I also used sand. Once the roots started to grow, I put the stalk through eggcrate and now they are stuck growing on the bottom
