Check them out at Costco, Cameras, 250 gig hard drive and everything you need for around $400. Cameras are even night cameras as well. may do you good for night recordings as well. I bought mine there and it is bad to the bone!

yeah the cameras use red leds. the red leds allow the camera to see people.They only record when something changes. The ones I use you can view across the web, some on mobiles.

Just buy a bunch of X10 cameras! (I'm sure Erik will get a laugh outta that one)
Too bad you cant RF tag fish and corals... This still just makes me sad. :(

Gabe, I have 10 cameras at my shop, and the dvr is 500g put them on motion and they will last you up to 5 months of recording( also night vision cool huh). Jason I/O

man that sucks! Do you think they used a water container like someone else said? That sounds like the only plausible answer. I've never thought about that until reading it. But yeah the sooner you get the cameras up, the better. Were they cheap sps corals or did this guy know what he was doing and got the best ones there?
A pair of FishHeads SPS and a $30 monti -- sounds like they had expensive tastes... this still just makes me sick.
