+1 -- with all the technically adept people on this board, I guarantee we can part together a much better computer, for much cheaper, than the manufacturers can provide. I'm sure theres plenty of us with system-building experience who could help you through it. Give us your goals -- if you want to play games on it, that changes the perspective a bit, etc...
