Default Idea for new trade forum

I was wondering if there would be an interest in a 'save me' forum for corals in need of TLC.

I seem to be doing great with non-photosynthetics but my candy canes and montipora confusa look horrid. My montipora digitatas however look great.

I am guessing other people have some corals that don't do so well for them. Wouldn't it be nice to trade them out so that all corals could do well?

Nice idea... we have one that needs to be rescued right now, not so much from the tank conditions as from the fish that is eating it.

Ya know,....I think this may go along to a certain extent with JUstahobby's "Suggestion for equipment bank thread"....perhaps we could invest in a system that is designated solely to saving sick, injured, or dying corals.....Where to keep it and who is the babysitter would have to be determined though.....

I was actually thinking of this just as a private thing. It always pains me to see pics of withering away sun corals or super skinny mandarins when I know I'd have the means to get them thriving and healthy again.
And I'm sure SPS lovers look at my tank and think 'murderer'!
So some of my critters might be happier with someone else and I might be able to provide a good place to something that didn't work out for somebody else.
It just would need to be clear that there are no guarantees.

If we get a hospital station through MAAST though I think Third Coast should be the keeper - you got institutional experience like this. ;)

This is really a great idea, Karin. If everything goes in my favor, I'll look into implementing something after the first of the year.

lol...Thanks for the vote of confidence, but my specialties are not with corals...There are far more qualified individuals on this site than me that are capable of this.

Third Coast I think we could do fish as well as long as people are responsible about it (Quarantine Tank required, etc.) as to not endanger existing fish.
