I don't know anything about the water there, but for example the gulf coast is dirty and we can not add live rock or things of that nature directly to our tanks here in Texas.
Hopefully some more experienced reefers will chime in. I would continue doing research about the water there. You could always do it the long way and whatever live rock you get you could boil and then sun dry and start fresh. It will take about six months for it to become live rock. But you could seed it by ordering a few corals attatched to live rock already.
