i've seen that as well in my tank, the black and white clown sucks on the tentacles all the time and i've seen a few rbta tentacles laying around in my tank, glowing pinker than ever on the sand bed. that same clown also sucks on the frogspawn and duncans tentacles all the time now that i don't have a rbta. i see frogspawn tentacles on the glass to this day so i think its safe to say that in my case, maybe yours also, the black and white clown is responsible for this. it hasn't killed anything in the 2 or 3 years that ive had it though.

Update. I had thought that the tentacles found were recently attached to the new addition, the little green guy. This is not the case.

I just realized that the tentacles are being dropped from BTA2 (recently cloned from BTA1). BTA2 still looks good, although in the last two days it's deflated rather early without a feeding (typically retracts after a meal). I haven't witnessed the clowns chewing on it, but both clowns spend most of their time in BTA2.

I pulled four tentacles from the sandbed just a few minutes ago... pulled two out yesterday. At this rate BTA2 will be bald before me!

Anyone think I have to worry here, or is this kind of normal behavior?
