How do you plan on keeping the glass clean? That is going to be a hurdle. Maybe a large rimless tank would be better? You could make it very nice looking and have everything in the stand.

... unless you have long arms and can scrape the class in a horizontal manner all the way to the bottom. But the curved ones do look cool...
